A simple fast home router. Four external antennas guarantee a solid range throughout the apartment. In the 2.4GHz band it reaches a maximum speed of 300 Mbps and in 5GHz then 867 Mbps. Together, the theoretical speed is up to 1167 Mbps in Dual-band mode. The dual-band mode enables simultaneous transmission of the 2.4 and 5GHz bands under one SSID (name of the WiFi network), so you don?t have to worry whether you?re connected to 2,4 or 5GHz. The router is equipped with 2x LAN 10/100Mbps ports and 1x WAN 10/100Mbps port. It can thus also be used as a second router in the home or a switch in places where the primary router can no longer reach.
Fast 580MHz processor and 64MB RAM guarantees smooth and fast operation. You can connect up to 64 devices to the router. Passive heatsinks on chipsets then reduce operating temperatures and ensure stability.
For the 5GHz band, the router features LDPC (low-density parity-check code) algorithm that corrects errors in data transmnsures wider coverage and higher transmission efficiency.
The router can be easily configured via the Mi WiFi mobile application. In addition to the usual encryption and network name settings, you can also set parental controls for your children. For every connected device you can limit the time spent on the internet, the maximum speed of the internet, or allowed or forbidden websites.
The application can also notify you that a new unknown device has joined your network.
The simple design without unnecessary embellishments and flashes will easily fit into your home. The router housing is made of recycled and eco-friendly materials.
